ANPP recalls one batch of Arovan atorvastatin over quality defect

The Agence Nationale des Produits Pharmaceutiques (ANPP) has ordered a batch recall of Arovan (atorvastatin) 10 mg film-coated tablets.

The affected batch is 241123, with expiry date 08/2027. The product is manufactured by EL KENDI. The recall was notified on 20 September 2026.

The authority cited a “défaut de qualité” (quality defect) as the reason for the action. The notice classifies this as a regulatory batch recall (“Rappel de lot”) with quarantine (“mise en quarantaine”) also checked, and lists “Rappel de lot volontaire” (voluntary batch recall) among the regulatory decisions. The “Levée de la mise en quarantaine” (lifting of quarantine) box is also checked.

Healthcare facilities and distributors holding batch 241123 must quarantine the stock and follow the recall instructions issued by the authority. The notice does not specify whether the product should be returned, destroyed, or held pending further instruction.
