ANPP recalls one batch of Ferolam sodium feredetate syrup over quality defect

The Agence Nationale des Produits Pharmaceutiques (ANPP) has ordered a batch recall of Ferolam sodium feredetate syrup.

The affected batch is 02-26, with expiry date 01/2029. The product is manufactured by SARL LAM. The recall was notified on 22 September 2026.

The authority cited a “défaut de qualité” (quality defect) as the reason for the action. The notice classifies this as a regulatory batch recall (“Rappel de lot”), not a voluntary recall, and does not list quarantine among the current measures.

Healthcare facilities and distributors holding batch 02-26 must follow the recall instructions issued by the authority. The notice does not specify whether the product should be returned, destroyed, or held pending further instruction.

Ferolam is an antianaemic preparation containing sodium feredetate (sodium iron EDTA) at a concentration of 4.75 g/100 ml, formulated as a syrup.
