This notice explains what personal data Drug Eye Africa collects, what we do with it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to our email alerts.

What we collect

• Email subscriptions. If you email us to join our alerts, we hold your email address and the date you subscribed, for the purpose of sending you those alerts.
• Correspondence. If you write to us, we hold your message and contact details so that we can reply and keep a record of the exchange.
• Technical data. Our servers record standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

Analytics and cookies

We use a minimal analytics measure to understand which articles are read and how people arrive at the site. We do not sell this data, we do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not share it with advertisers. Where cookies are used they are limited to what is necessary for the site to function and for this basic measurement.

Confidential sources

Correspondence from confidential sources is handled under our editorial policy rather than as ordinary correspondence. We do not disclose the identity of a confidential source, and we ask sources not to use work accounts or devices when contacting us.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers who host our site and deliver our email, and only to the extent needed to provide those services. We disclose data where we are legally required to do so.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To unsubscribe from alerts, or to make any of these requests, write to info@drugeyeafrica.com.
