The Agence Marocaine du Médicament et des Produits de Santé (AMMPS) has notified pharmaceutical manufacturers that applications for authorisation to carry medical samples must now include a signed commitment declaration.
The declaration, found at the end of the Code of Ethics for Medical Representatives (Code de déontologie des délégués médicaux), must bear the signatures of three parties: the medical representative concerned, the responsible pharmacist of the pharmaceutical manufacturing establishment, and the head of the medical and pharmaceutical information agency where applicable.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers should ensure compliance with this requirement when submitting any application for sample-carrying authorisation to AMMPS. The declaration is available on the agency’s official website.
The authority did not state when this requirement takes effect, whether existing authorisations are affected, or what consequences apply for non-compliance.
